Where are my Favorite Places? This is a common question we have been asked by several users in the last few months as we launched myAOL which includes the new myAOL Favorites product. First of all, your "Favorite Places" are safe and sound and can be accessed by using the AOL desktop client. Secondly, myAOL Favorites bookmarks are equivalent to a "Favorite Place" in the AOL desktop client software but are currently not saved in the same place as "Favorite Places." Your myAOL Favorites are saved for access from the Web on any computer that you sign into myAOL from, while your "Favorite Places" are part of the AOL desktop client software and are accessible from any AOL desktop client that you sign into.
In the coming months we would like to allow you the ability to get the best of both worlds by adding features to allow you to access your myAOL Favorites Web bookmarks and "Favorite Places" seamlessly from myAOL.

85. I have both AOL (I pay for it each month) and Comcast (for the high speed). Decided to cancel AOL - BUT I have NOT cancelled it yet! Friend made Comcast my home page and we had AOL transfer emails to Comcast - but they did not transfer my email address book. Now I cannot get the original AOL home page, can't get my favorite places, can't get my filing cabinet contents !!! Can't get my documents!Don't know what to do!!! When I click the AOL icon on the desktop it will not work. From Comcast I get the AOL free pages. I am paying for AOL.
Can someone please help this 60 year old lady!!! :)

89. Kathy, AOL is free now *if* you have broadband access through a provider like Comcast. Call Member Services and tell them to stop billing you. You get to keep your AOL screen name, by the way.
My advice is to keep using AOL EMail. Your address is yours for free - forever. If you decide to leave Comcast, you'll lose that email address.
