Where are my Favorite Places? This is a common question we have been asked by several users in the last few months as we launched myAOL which includes the new myAOL Favorites product. First of all, your "Favorite Places" are safe and sound and can be accessed by using the AOL desktop client. Secondly, myAOL Favorites bookmarks are equivalent to a "Favorite Place" in the AOL desktop client software but are currently not saved in the same place as "Favorite Places." Your myAOL Favorites are saved for access from the Web on any computer that you sign into myAOL from, while your "Favorite Places" are part of the AOL desktop client software and are accessible from any AOL desktop client that you sign into.
In the coming months we would like to allow you the ability to get the best of both worlds by adding features to allow you to access your myAOL Favorites Web bookmarks and "Favorite Places" seamlessly from myAOL.

42. I've added comcast as my high speed carrier and plan to d/c aol, tho haven't yet. I hate the new AOL format and the copy I have opn my computer caused all sorts of problems and often none of the programs will run, going into a 'not responding' mode. Iv'e had several tech sessions walk me thru the fix it dialogue and now it's so messed up my computer needs to go into the shop to be reset, so I can even get online and use it at all online!! My other computer has suddenly lost my AOL favorites column, which had info put on it several years ago, and
I have no way to recover the info w/out the old favorites I had set up originally. I want my favorites back!!

45. I can find absolutely no help for restoring My Favorite Places in AOL. I lost them when I reinstalled AOL recently. None of the AOL techies have provided any useful information. I would appreciate hearing from anyone with the same problem and how it was resolved.

53. I found the answer:
1) Go to Favorites on your AOL Desktop
2) Click Import AOL Favorites - Click "continue" to copy the web pages you saved as favorites from the last used version of AOL to this version of AOL. Imported Favorites will be available in My Favorite places.
